😂 I was srsly thinking about dnfing this couple of times bc of her. Well i was wondering how long it would take me to find a book with an annoying h and there it was. This is a good book if you need something fun and quick to pass the time but, in terms of characters, its unfortunately lacking the high quality of VKs previous novels. thank goodness donovans side is more than enough.

for a book called ‘the spark,’ im surprised to read something that is so one sided.

VKs is beyond capable of creating great chemisty between her characters, usually because they both have something to offer. i cant even begin to tell you why donovan was into her because shes just so… bland. she has past trauma, is a social worker, and loves watching the bachelor. its not difficult to fall for him and he brings so much to the story.Īutumn on the other hand… she adds nothing to it. he smart, funny, kind, patient, good-looking, humble, understanding, and generous. VKs love interests are always swoon-worthy, but donovan is the total package. thank goodness donovan works out (see cover) because he carried this entire story completely on his own.* But New York City had eight million people, so what were the chances I’d run into him?
